For the past 28 years I have had extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical, petro-chemical, and onshore/offshore oil & gas production industries as a structural design draughtsman. My main work experience includes 3D structural modeling, combined with 2D model extraction. Over the last 10 years I have been employed exclusively on CAD related projects working in the UK and Norway.

Indentured apprenticeship served 1954 – 1960 at the National Supply Company, Stockport UK.  Manufacturers of oil field drilling equipment.  Subsequent years spent as design draughtsman in a variety of industries, including machine tools, aircraft and special purpose machinery.  From 1972 – 1977 on Chemical / Pharmaceutical Plant.  Recent years as Piping Engineer on various onshore and offshore projects.  Overseas experience in Algeria, Libya, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

Involved in piping & mechanical design projects in a wide range of applications including oil & gas, petrochemicals, industrial chemicals and military/civilian shipping applications and all levels from overall design responsibility through to fabrication/installation. applicable to this type of construction.

I have been involved in Management, Design and the Layout of Mechanical Plant Equipment/Piping to include the preparation of relevant Specifications, Material Selection, Estimating, Stressing, Hazop Studies, Technical Adjudication, Clarification, Construction, Commissioning and Validation throughout the relevant plants.
